			<description><![CDATA[ <p>I was very fortunate to get by without  incident with a serious fuel leak.
<br>
GDRE cleaned all 8 injectors and I inadvertantly damaged an O-ring replacing  one of them.

I did not lubricate the o-rings which I now know to do.

I drove the car 60 miles on Sat. and it ran great.
<br>
Sunday I started the engine before climbing in  for a drive and was greeted with a 50 psi leak.

			<description><![CDATA[ Does anyone monitor fuel pressure on their data logger?

Above 7000 rpm my fuel pressure drops from 50 to 42 psi  (mechanical guage) in the higher gears on a 2008 Hayabusa.

GDRE felt that there should be very little if any pressure drop on an adequte fuel system regardless of load.

I am using a Mallory pressure regulator and just installed a new Bosch fuel pump and got the same pressure drop.

			<description><![CDATA[ I did a track-day at T-Hill last Sunday. 70 degrees  F and humid. Redline 10-40 racing oil.

I let the  stock 2008 Haysbusa idle for 20 minutes  before each session and oil temp would only get to 130 degrees.

What should the oil temp get to before full throttle is used? Highest temp. after session was 180 degrees.

 I used the same cooler with the previous 954 Honda and temp would  get above 160  after 10 minute idle and  max. at 230 degrees under similar conditions.

I get a Yamaha R1 2004 (so the injection model) with less then 10000 kms on the clock.

Now i would like to know from you experienced guys if with this engine a baffle plate in the sump is sufficent or if you think installing an accusump as well
would be needed.

In a case of the accusump , how can i connect it to the engine?

			<title><![CDATA[ Cleaning injectors ]]></title>

			<description><![CDATA[ My 2008 Hayabusa ran great for the 1st two events.

At idle #3 misses but has spark. When driving at full throttle it runs on all 4 but likely the mixture is lean.
<br>
I assume the primary injector is plugged.
<br>
If I plug in the primary injector connector to the secondary injector,  #3 runs at idle but not as well as others  
<br>
       probably due to injecting above the primary throttle plate.
<br>
Is there a do it yourself way to attempt to clean a injector ?

tech line cant decifer the engine numbers, they say all R1&#39;s engine numbers end in six numerals, mine dosnt, and they dont even recognize the some of the
first half. I called loyning and even though they have worked on it twice they didnt keep a record of what year it was. The engine number is NL07J085G, over

I was very pleased with the performance compared to the Honda 954.

I am also very bothered that it is using a lot of water.

I was told by another driver that I was loosing water and that I should be using a 21 lb. rad. cap instead of a 13 lb.

I installed a 21lb. cap and had to add approx. 1/2 gallon of water.
