While there appears to be fur flying over what possible advantage it would have,
I honestly don't see any harm in attaching weight to WB and I do see at some theorectical attractiveness.
It makes enough sense to me so that I would not feel hopeless about chassis/aero development if I were to tackle a more affordable short WB DSR.
Long WB means more undercar area and easier aero overall.
Please forget the examples where short WB cars were made out of pig iron..
Less WB means less weight and the many LeGrands and copies prove very low weights are practical..
A 100# difference would sweeten the pot, so to speak.
Maybe the weight differential would never produce any new short WB DSR champions, but it sure would be fun to try.
