Mark Jaremko arrived from Spokane with his 2006 Stohr WF1 National Championship winning car. Nestled in the engine bay is a hot new George Dean Suzuki GSXR1000. George came down from Seattle to help with the first shakedown runs.
Everything ran as George promised, and Mark quickly put the car into the 1:07's with the chicane. This is under the old track record which was in the 1:08's.
Lap times are one thing, but what we noticed immediately was the straightline speed. The best we saw last year with the Yamaha was 140mph on the back straight, now with George's motor, we are up to 148.5mph. Even more pleasing was the ease with which Mark passed Wade Carters CSR Loyning Viking and Mark Ishikawa's Formula Atlantic. Wade has been one of the few guys to give Hans Peter a run for his money at the 2006 SCCA Runoffs in CSR.
