Question on diffuser shapes. The diffuser on my Radical is a continuously rising curve, and that matches with other diffusers I've seen around. However, I have also seen diffusers that are just a steady rising angle, say, 10* to the ground plane. Neither of the books I have mention anything about straight vs curved diffuser shapes.
I might guess that straight diffusers are still a valid shape, since our flat-bottom cars make some downforce, after all, but was curious if the curve is supposedly more effective at some aspect of aerodynamic performance?
