Here's the scenario....
I need to put an accusump in my car. I'm estimating the thing weighs about ~15 pounds with oil in it. A couple of locations with enough room are:
1. On the floor next to the cockpit on either side. It could be near drivers butt, putting it roughly in the center of the car....... or further forward, near drivers knees. The most forward it could be would be roughtly 1 ft behind the rear pickup point of the front suspension
2. On the floor, to the left of the engine, just in front of the left rear wheel.
Looking at my last corner weight numbers:
LF.....238# 238#.......RF
LR....264# 279#.......RR
The most obvious idea is to put it near the LR wheel. (probably the easiest logistically). This would likely improve the discrepancy in cross weights. Would that be more or less beneficial than trying to improve the front/rear balance?
Also, would putting it near the right front be the ideal? (improve the cross weight and front/rear balance). I'm leaning towards this spot.
The car typically has mechanical mid/late corner understeer. It is more balanced at higher speeds, but still tends toward understeer.
Thoughts and opinions please.......
