To my dear friends and supporters,
Due to the financial crisis currently being experienced in the economy and the inevitable uncertainty that will follow, I have decided that it would be best to
stay at the helm of my company and top sponsor, Expanded Technologies, Inc. and forego the 2008 SCCA National Runoffs, both in DSR and CSR.
I want to thank all that have yet again contributed to 8-ball Racing's successes in 2008, namely but amongst many; my engineer Chris "Critter"
Young for his friendship, professionalism and expertise, Hoosier Tires for providing predictable and consistent tires and KWS Motorsports for their powerful
but more importantly, their reliable GSX-R1000 engines. I also want to thank my dear and sweet crew-chief Katie Liverato (my wife) for her non-relenting
support since she got me involved in this sport almost 10 years ago…you're the absolute best!!
There are so many others to thank for 8-Ball's successes, both directly and indirectly these past couple years: all the guys at 10-Tenths, Stohr Cars, Mike
Devins, Taylor Racing, Williams Racing, Joe Stimola, and the SeDiv SCCA. And then, there are my competitors; JR Osborne…dude, because of you, I pushed myself
and turned a 1:17.8 at Road Atlanta!! Ken Tyrrell for also giving me a reason to "step it up" in 2008, and the guys at Mallen Alley Racing…you guys
are what DSR is about…your ingenuity, your passion for finding what it takes to achieve that extra mph or G to compete against the dominating "black
cars"…and you're almost there in less than a couple seasons…now THAT is grassroots!!!
Then, last but not least, all my "fans". In essence, you all are the ones that feeds the passion that makes it all possible. Please forgive me for
not taking it all the way this year and understand that this move will hopefully allow me to do so in the years to come!!
Best of luck to all those that will be at the Runoffs. Have fun but most importantly be safe. We'll be rooting for you.
