This is a notice I've posted in a few other forums. If you happen to know someone
interested in vintage racing, I'd appreciate you passing the info along. All the car needs is one session of dialing in the chassis and adjusting it to
the driver's size (I'm kinda like a fire plug with legs and arms) but the car has room to accommodate a tall driver.
Race Vintage Anywhere: Own a vintage car with a history that will make it be welcomed by just about any vintage racing organization in the country. The Thorgeirson Special is an authenticated 1960s era H-Modified car campaigned in Canada and the Pacific Northwest. It has been thoroughly restored to better-than-new condition, with beautiful bodywork, a fresh Fiat 850 engine with rare Abarth components, fuel cell, fire system, oil accumulator, new gauges, lots of Aeroquip, new belts, coil over suspension and vintage-style Kirkey seat. I have lots of photos documenting the work done during the four years it took to restore the car. Spares include extra blocks, heads, gearboxes, rare NOS racing pistons, etc. The car has a current SCCA Oregon Region logbook.
This car is a unique, hand built, mid-engined racer based on the Lotus 23 chassis design. It weighs about 800 pounds, race ready. During the restoration, an effort was made to try to keep the car true to its roots as a home-built racer, which means much of the 40+ year old character has been retained. Photos are available at http://sports.racer.net/c...sis/thorgeirson/page1.htm or contact me for specific pictures or to answer questions.
$20,000/offer. Contact Jerry F. Boone at jfboone@aol.com or at 503-642-5197.
